**Time: **9am to 4pm (followed by informal networking until 5.30pm)
**Venue: **NatWest Accelerator, 94 Moorgate, London, EC2M 6UR

**About the Unconference**
Our Unconference will be a high-impact, "big tent" gathering bringing together diverse cross-sector stakeholders to discuss and develop practical approaches to the novel challenges posed by the procurement, contracting and contract management of AI capabilities.
Unconferences are participant-driven events, where the agenda is created by the attendees on the day, rather than pre-set by organisers. While the exact discussion topics on 3rd November will be participant-led, we expect to prioritise the following themes:
- **Shifting from Spending to Investing:** Moving past rigid, transactional procurement toward dynamic, agile commercial frameworks tailored for rapidly evolving AI systems.
- **Evaluating Hype vs. Reality:** Cutting through vendor marketing to assess tools against true user needs, while addressing legacy IT infrastructure, data quality, and risk management constraints.
- **Contracting, Risk and Exit:** Designing agile contracts that enable experimentation while accounting for continuous model updates, data security, vendor lock-in, and exit strategies from day one.
- **Building Capability and Confidence:** Upskilling commercial and technical teams to focus on defining problems and meeting user needs, accurately evaluate AI bids, effectively governing supplier performance, and monitoring and evaluating evidence of improvements enabled by AI that deliver public value.
By adopting an unconference structure, we ensure discussions directly address the most pressing challenges and emerging issues affecting participants in procuring and contracting for AI products and services. If you haven’t participated in an unconference before, you can find out more here and watch this short YouTube video.
