The gathering

What to look forward to

Engineering leaders and practitioners will explore how AI Software Factories coordinate coding agents to turn specifications into software, with a panel on architecture, quality oversight, enterprise governance, and measuring adoption. The discussion will feature Band Desktop and offer perspectives for CTOs, engineering executives, architects, and technical leads evaluating multi-agent workflows.

From the organizer

Inside the event

A professional panel discussion on AI Software Factories and their role in enterprise software delivery.

Join BAND and HackerSquad at AWS Builder Loft for an evening focused on how engineering organizations can move from individual AI coding assistants to coordinated systems of agents that build software from specifications.

Friday, November 13, 2026 · 5:30–8:00 PM PST · San Francisco

The centerpiece is a panel discussion on AI Software Factories & Band Desktop, followed by professional networking. Dinner and an opening reception begin at 5:30 PM; the panel begins at 6:15 PM.

Who should attend

This event is designed for professionals responsible for building, evaluating, or adopting AI-assisted software development within an organization:

  • CTOs, VPs of Engineering, engineering directors, and technical leads
  • Staff and principal engineers, software architects, and platform engineering teams
  • Enterprise AI, developer productivity, and engineering enablement leaders
  • Technical practitioners evaluating multi-agent development workflows

Panel discussion: AI Software Factories & Band Desktop

An AI Software Factory brings coding agents into a coordinated workflow for turning specifications into working software. For enterprise teams, the discussion extends to the engineering practices, oversight, and operational requirements that make these workflows useful.

The panel will explore questions such as

  • Architecture and coordination: How should agents divide work, share context, and operate within an existing development workflow?
  • Quality and accountability: Where should testing, evaluation, code review, and human approval sit in the process?
  • Enterprise adoption: How should teams approach access controls, governance, integration, and operational reliability?
  • Measuring value: What should engineering leaders evaluate when moving from a promising pilot toward broader adoption?
  • Band Desktop in practice: How can teams explore coordinated coding-agent workflows and assess their fit for real engineering work?

Bring the questions and constraints you encounter in your own organization. Continue the conversation with fellow engineering leaders and practitioners over dinner and networking.

Panelists and the final program will be announced closer to the event.

Agenda

All times are Pacific Standard Time (PST).

  • 5:30 PM — Doors open; welcome reception and dinner
  • 6:15 PM — Panel discussion: AI Software Factories & Band Desktop
  • 7:15 PM — Panel concludes; professional networking
  • 8:00 PM — Doors close

The schedule is flexible and may be adjusted as the program is finalized.

Continue with the week-long BAND Buildathon

This panel also serves as an evening kickoff for the BAND Dark Factory Buildathon, November 13–20, 2026. Professionals interested in applying the ideas from the discussion can continue building remotely throughout the week. Submissions are due November 20.

Attendance at the panel is welcome independently of buildathon participation. Visit the main buildathon page for separate registration and participation details. Explore Band Desktop, the documentation, and the hacker guide for background.
