What to look forward to
Dennis Crowley, Hopscotch Labs co-founder and CEO who previously co-founded Dodgeball and Foursquare, will discuss building BeeBot with Jeff Smith, Automattic’s Head of Product, AI. Their conversation will explore the product and technical choices behind real-world AI, where it works in physical spaces, and how the field has changed since Foursquare.
Inside the event
Join us for an evening on what it takes to build AI for the real world, with a fireside chat between Dennis Crowley, Co-Founder and CEO, Hopscotch Labs, and Jeff Smith, Head of Product, AI, Automattic. Crowley co-founded Dodgeball (acquired by Google in 2005) and Foursquare. Now he’s building BeeBot, an app that uses AI to tell you about the things around you as you walk through a city. Together, he and Smith will dig into the product and technical decisions behind BeeBot, where AI works in physical spaces and where it falls short, and what’s changed since Foursquare. A relaxed evening of conversation and connection for technologists, builders, and creators.
