1.5 days. 100 incredible builders. AI Γ Health Γ Bio.
We're bringing together some of NYC's best engineers, founders, researchers, and builders for a hands-on hackathon exploring what's possible at the intersection of AI, healthcare, personal health, and biology.
Whether you're already working in healthcare or coming from AI, consumer tech, or another industry, this is a chance to explore one of the most exciting areas for AI, meet talented people, and build something real.
You'll have access to leading AI tools, APIs, infrastructure, datasets, and experienced mentors, alongside a carefully curated group of other builders.
Come with an idea or find one when you arrive. Spend the weekend experimenting, collaborating, and shipping something you're excited about.
π Apply by November 24. Space is limited, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
What to Expect
Health Frontier NYC is a 1.5-day build sprint, running Friday afternoon through Saturday evening.
We're curating a group of approximately 100 talented, motivated participants from across AI, engineering, healthcare, biology, and startups.
Throughout the weekend, expect
AI tools & infrastructure: Access to APIs, developer tools, compute, and credits from technology partners.
Datasets & resources: Healthcare, personal health, and biological datasets to help you experiment with real-world applications.
Expert mentors: Guidance from experienced founders, engineers, researchers, and healthcare operators.
Talks & technical demos: Hear from people building at the frontier of AI, healthcare, and biology.
Dedicated building time: Plenty of space to experiment, collaborate, and turn ideas into working prototypes.
Demos & prizes: Present your work, get feedback from judges, and compete for prizes.
Good people & good food: Meet potential cofounders, collaborators, and fellow builders in a fun, high-energy environment.
The focus is on building, learning, and connecting with exceptional people.
Teams & Participation
You can apply individually or with an existing team.
We'll help match individual applicants into teams of approximately four based on skills and interests ahead of the event. Accepted participants will be invited to a shared community channel to connect, exchange ideas, and coordinate before the weekend.
Please indicate in your application if you're applying with teammates.
Who Should Apply?
We're looking for curious, technically strong people who love building and want to explore what's next in AI and health.
AI/ML & software engineers: Full-stack, applied AI, infrastructure, and forward-deployed engineers.
Founders & startup teams: From early-stage ideas to established AI, healthtech, and biotech companies.
Researchers & scientists: People working across AI, medicine, biology, and the life sciences.
Product builders & designers: PMs and designers who enjoy turning ambitious ideas into real products.
Clinicians & healthcare operators: People with firsthand experience of problems worth solving.
Builders from other industries: Anyone interested in personal health, wellness, longevity, biology, or applying AI to new domains.
No healthcare experience required. We're especially excited to bring together people already working in healthcare with talented builders from outside the industry.
We're keeping the event intentionally small and selective, prioritizing technical ability, creativity, and a genuine interest in building.
Project Inspiration
We're keeping the scope broad. Projects can span clinical AI, consumer health, wellness, biology, research, and healthcare infrastructure.
A few ideas to get you thinking
Clinical AI & Healthcare Delivery
AI agents for patient intake, scheduling, documentation, and care coordination.
Tools that help patients understand and follow through on medical advice.
Automations that make life easier for clinicians and healthcare teams.
Personal Health & Wellness
Personal health agents connecting wearables, labs, medical records, and other health data.
AI-powered tools for nutrition, fitness, sleep, and longevity.
New ways to understand, monitor, and improve personal health.
Biology & Life Sciences
AI research assistants for scientific literature, data analysis, and discovery.
Agents that help researchers design experiments or explore biological datasets.
Tools that make complex scientific information easier to access and use.
AI Infrastructure & Agents
Evaluation and monitoring tools for AI in high-stakes environments.
Multimodal applications combining voice, images, text, and structured data.
Infrastructure for more reliable, secure, and effective AI agents.
Or build something completely different. These are just starting points. Bring your own ideas, explore the available datasets, or find inspiration from other participants.
Why Join?
Build something real: Take an idea from concept to working prototype in a weekend.
Meet exceptional builders: Collaborate with engineers, founders, researchers, and operators from across NYC's tech and healthcare communities.
Explore the frontier: Learn where AI is creating new possibilities in medicine, personal health, and biology.
Get hands-on with leading tools: Experiment with AI infrastructure, APIs, models, and datasets from our partners.
Learn from experienced people: Connect with founders and technical experts working on real-world applications.
Find your next collaborator: Meet potential cofounders, future teammates, or people you'd love to build with again.
