What to look forward to
Buildersklub will host Giuseppe Minnella, Frontend Technical Lead and Line Manager at Deutsche Bank, for a practical talk on preventing AI-assisted coding from adding unnecessary complexity to production systems. Builders, developers, product people, and engineering leaders will explore when to accelerate with AI, and when restraint protects long-term value.
Inside the event
What if the best engineers in the age of AI are the ones who know when to stop?
Join us for a buildersklub evening at Deutsche Bank with Giuseppe Minnella, Frontend Technical Lead & Line Manager at Deutsche Bank.
AI-assisted coding is making teams dramatically faster at prototyping, explaining and onboarding. But in real production systems, especially complex or regulated ones, speed is only half the story. The harder question is what should be allowed to exist at all.
Giuseppe will talk about drift: small, plausible additions that look like good practice but slowly pile up unnecessary abstractions, new states, unclear ownership and maintenance cost without adding real business value.
His central idea is simple. As generation gets cheap, engineering value shifts toward containment.

🌟 What You'll Learn
- Why AI-assisted work drifts, and what that drift looks like in real codebases
- How "good practice" additions quietly turn into operational burden
- When to accelerate with AI and when to stop
- How to keep systems aligned with intent as generation gets cheaper
