The gathering

What to look forward to

Developers, planners, lenders, engineers, and AI builders will gather to tackle real estate's toughest problems through short talks and live demos from founders like Iman Novin (ProforMap), Olya Krasnykh (Contor.ai), and Curtis Wong (Cloud Apartments)—no panels or sales pitches, just practical solutions and open conversations. You'll hear about AI applications in site selection, entitlements research, and modular housing while connecting with people actually working at the intersection of real estate and technology.

Inside the event

Hard problems. New tools. Built together. Real estate has no shortage of difficult problems. Entitlements, underwriting, regulation, financing, site selection, construction, and the thousand small decisions that determine whether a project actually works. At the same time, AI and technology are changing what can be automated, analyzed, searched, modeled, and built. But the people who understand the problems best and the people building the new tools do not spend enough time in the same room. This event is meant to change that. Join developers, planners, brokers, lenders, consultants, engineers, founders, and other people working at the intersection of real estate and technology for an evening of short talks, live demos, practical examples, and open questions. No panels. No sales pitches. No need to be an expert in both fields. Come with something you are working on, something you are stuck on, or simply something you are curious about. Leave with a few new ideas and, hopefully, a few people who can help you build them. Schedule 5:00 PM · Doors and networking 5:50 PM · Welcome 6:00 PM · One Cool Thing 6:20 PM · Presentations and Q&A 7:35 PM · Closing 7:50 PM · Room clears, conversation continues nearby One Cool Thing Have you done something useful, weird, surprisingly effective, or instructively unsuccessful with AI lately? You will have two minutes to show or explain it. Real estate examples are especially welcome, but not required. This is not a pitch. Specific and practical beats impressive. Example: I gave Claude a geospatial dataset and asked it to build me an interactive map with filters, pop-ups, and layers. A few prompts later, I had a working site-selection tool I could actually use. A small thank-you gift for everyone who shares. Presenting ProforMap · Iman Novin (Founder & CEO) AI and geospatial tools for finding, evaluating, and underwriting real estate development sites, with a focus on affordable and multifamily housing. Contor.ai · Olya Krasnykh (Co-founder & COO) Source-backed AI for land use and entitlement research, helping development teams understand what can be built and navigate the regulations that shape a project. Cloud Apartments · Curtis Wong (Founder & CEO) A modular housing company developing standardized apartment designs and construction systems aimed at making multifamily housing faster and less expensive to build. Each speaker gets about 15 minutes, followed by questions from the room. These are teaching talks, not product pitches. The goal is to show how people are approaching real problems, what they have built, what works, and what they have learned. Details Free and open to the public. Space is limited, so registration is encouraged. No food or beverages other than bottled water are permitted in the room. Water will be provided. Organized by Konstantin Voronin, who writes about Bay Area housing, development economics, and policy at kostya.io.
