The gathering

What to look forward to

Builders will explore how WebAI and HTML-in-Canvas can make the browser an AI runtime, then create and demo hands-on AI-native web experiences. The session will feature Dan Berte, Opera’s Product Advocacy Director with 15+ years in consumer technology and IoT security, and Adelina Martiniuc, CEO of RoryPlans.ai.

Inside the event

Virtual Lunch & Hack

Join us for a Virtual Lunch & Hack, a biweekly online event where builders come together to learn something new, hear from great speakers, and hack on a fun project in real time.

Each session features a different topic. We’ll kick things off with a short talk from our speakers, followed by a hands-on hacking session where everyone gets a chance to build. At the end, selected participants can show what they made.

For this session, we’ll explore The Browser Is Becoming an AI Runtime.

What changes when AI becomes a native capability of the browser instead of something every application has to call in the cloud? We’ll explore emerging browser technologies like WebAI, which makes it possible to run AI directly in the browser, as well as HTML-in-Canvas, which opens up new ways to build interactive web experiences inside 2D and 3D environments.

For the hack, you’ll use these new browser capabilities to experiment with an AI-native web experience of your own. Build something that understands the page you’re on, uses local AI to classify or generate content, creates a new kind of interface, or simply explores what becomes possible when the browser itself becomes part of the AI stack.

Whether you’re an engineer, founder, product manager, or simply curious about where the web is heading, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of this emerging technology and hands-on experience building with the next generation of browser APIs.
