What to look forward to
The NYU x Microsoft Ethical Tech CoLab will host an all-day coworking day with free coffee, phone rooms, and opportunities to connect with builders, researchers, and professionals across tech, policy, startups, humanitarian work, and ethical AI. The CoLab is a research initiative with NYU’s Center for Global Affairs and Microsoft, developing projects that make emerging technology more responsible and equitable.

If you see this you are in luck: the door at the Microsoft Garage in SOHO will open to the NYU x Microsoft Ethical Tech CoLab's guest this Friday 11/6. Come cowork from one of the coolest spaces in the city, with free coffee all day. Trade your home desk for the Garage and get your WFH Friday done in good company.
While you’re here, get to know what we do at the CoLab. We build research and projects at the intersection of emerging technology and real social challenges, and we’d love for you to meet the people behind it. Pull up a chair, ask us what we’re working on, trade ideas, and leave having met someone new.
We’re especially excited to welcome people working in tech, venture, startups, humanitarian work, ethical AI and safety, policy, research, and everything adjacent. Whatever you’re building, there’s a good chance you’ll find someone here worth knowing.

The Microsoft Garage is Microsoft’s home for experimentation and hands-on building, where engineers, makers, and community members come together to turn ideas into working projects. The SoHo location in Lower Manhattan hosts workshops, talks, and collaborations like ours, and it’s where the NYU x Microsoft Ethical Tech CoLab is based.
