What to look forward to
Developers, AI engineers, and technical founders with basic Python and terminal skills will explore serverless inference, RAG, and AI agents in an Akamai-led workshop, then build and demo projects on Akamai Cloud for prizes. Akamai team members will provide hands-on support throughout the buildathon.
Inside the event
Build with Akamai Cloud: Seattle — AI Workshop & Buildathon
Learn in the morning. Build in the afternoon. Demo for prizes.
Join Akamai at GitHub Bellevue on Friday, November 20 for a hands-on AI workshop and buildathon. Come with an idea or find inspiration during the workshop, then turn what you learn into a project built on Akamai Cloud.
We’ll kick off with a serverless inference workshop led by Akamai. Using Jupyter notebooks, you’ll make your first inference calls and explore examples covering retrieval-augmented generation and AI agents.
Then it’s time to build. Spend the afternoon developing your project, with Akamai team members available to answer questions and help you work through challenges. Submit your project by 3 PM for judging, then join us at 4 PM as the top projects demo live.
Who this is for
Developers, AI engineers, and technical founders who want practical experience working directly with open-weight models. You should be comfortable writing basic Python and working in a terminal; prior experience running your own models isn't required.
