The Future of Personalized Universal Agents - AI Talk & Reception

**The Future of Personalized Universal Agents**
**An AI Talk & Networking Reception with Dr. Ed Chi**

Join HKBANC for an evening of insights and professional networking with Dr. Ed Chi at Plug and Play in Sunnyvale.

AI is moving beyond tools built for individual tasks toward universal personal agents—systems that can understand users across different types of information, reason through complex situations, and provide personalized support for discovery, learning, and decision-making.

In this talk, Dr. Chi will explore how advances in multimodal foundation models—spanning images, video, audio, language, and reasoning—are shaping the next generation of personal AI systems. He will discuss three key trends:

• **Integrated intelligence:** The shift toward a single multimodal model with built-in reasoning capabilities.
• **Personalization and memory:** How agents can adapt to users’ preferences, retain context, and align with their goals.
• **Intuition and deliberation:** Bringing fast “System 1” responses and slower, deliberate “System 2” reasoning together in a unified universal agent.

Connect with fellow professionals, exchange perspectives, and explore what this next chapter of AI could mean for how we live, learn, and work. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served at this event.
