Attie is expanding from AI-assisted custom-feed creation into a tool for making websites, games, quizzes and polls, with Bluesky positioning the results as small-group experiences rather than necessarily network-wide products. Announced at TechCrunch Disrupt on October 15, 2026, the move ties creations to users’ AT Protocol identities and hosts them on that system, while keeping the creation model a separate choice. Bluesky’s product bet is that social identity and network access can help builders find participants, not just generate an artifact.
Attie can suggest projects based on information in a user’s public Bluesky profile.
CEO Toni Schneider called the approach “social vibe coding,” contrasting group-oriented projects with AI coding as a mostly solo activity.
COO Rose Wang said Attie creations can draw on Bluesky’s distribution instead of having to build an audience from scratch.
Bluesky is giving its AI-powered Attie app a job beyond creating custom feeds: building websites, games, quizzes and polls for communities. Announced at TechCrunch Disrupt on October 15, 2026, the expansion connects those creations to users’ social identities and, Bluesky says, gives them a route to an audience already on its network.
Attie initially used AI to help people build custom social feeds. The new tools broaden what users can make, moving from choosing which posts people see to creating interactive experiences they can use together. Bluesky is aiming the feature at everyday users, including people who previously would have needed a software developer to build such projects.
CEO Toni Schneider described the addition as “social vibe coding”—using AI to build sites and experiences for a group. His contrast was with AI-assisted coding as a largely solo activity. The intended destination is not necessarily a service for the entire network, but small projects made for friends or a particular community.
The model powering creation is a separate choice. The announced approach therefore combines flexibility over the AI used to build with connections to Bluesky’s identity and social infrastructure.
COO Rose Wang’s argument is that making something and finding people to use it are different problems. She said Attie creations can tap Bluesky’s distribution rather than stand alone. That makes access to an existing social network part of the product’s pitch, alongside the ability to generate a site or game.
