OpenAI held its first developer event and made several announcements:

ChatGPT Milestones: ChatGPT has reached over 100 million weekly users and has become one of the fastest consumer products to hit the 100 million monthly user mark. There are also over 2 million developers using the ChatGPT API.
GPT-4 Turbo: A new version of GPT-4 named GPT-4 Turbo was launched. It is available in two versions, one for text and one for both text and images, with significantly larger context window capabilities and an updated knowledge cutoff. Pricing varies for text and image processing.
Custom GPT Creation: Users will now be able to create their own GPT models for various applications without any coding knowledge, and enterprises can build internal-only GPTs.
GPT Store: A platform for users to publish their GPT creations is set to launch, with an incentive model for popular contributions.
New idea for authors and book publishers: When you release a book, release a Custom GPT with it for all buyers.
New APIs: OpenAI introduced an Assistants API to create customized "agent-like experiences" and has made DALL-E 3 available through an API with moderation tools. There's also a new text-to-speech API with six preset voices. To showcase Assistant API, OpenAI gave every DevDay attendee $500 credit by just talking to an iOS Swift app using the voice APIs
