Adecco Rolls Out Salesforce AI Coworker to 27,000 Employees in 40 Countries

The staffing company is moving beyond specialized recruitment automation toward one AI interface for sales and hiring teams. The test is whether shared context can help people move faster without displacing the judgment those workflows still require.

Adecco is rolling out a Salesforce AI coworker to 27,000 employees across more than 40 countries, expanding a system tested in the United Kingdom and France into a shared workspace for sales and hiring. The product, Agentforce Coworker, is embedded in Salesforce and powered by Anthropic’s Claude model, under an unlimited Agentforce 360 agreement. The important shift is scope. Adecco already had agentic recruitment tools operating in 10 countries, covering work the company says represents half of its business revenue. Now it wants one entry point for tasks that previously lived across dozens of systems. Sales teams can prioritize prospects, prepare briefs, enrich data, and check lead status across teams. Recruiters can select a candidate and launch pre-screening, recruiting, or onboarding agents from that same interface. Adecco says the coworker can use context from more than 2.5 million agent-candidate interactions since April 2025. That context could reduce tool-switching and make client and candidate handoffs easier. But the company has not provided adoption or productivity figures, beyond saying the pilot saw strong uptake within days. Chief executive Denis Machuel frames the goal as freeing people for richer engagement, not removing human judgment. The key thing to watch is whether a common AI layer actually improves the handoff from automated preparation to human decisions at this scale.

Story brief

3 key points

Adecco’s move turns Salesforce’s AI from a recruitment-specific deployment into a shared work surface for sales and hiring. The company is extending Agentforce Coworker beyond UK and France pilots to 27,000 employees in more than 40 countries under an unlimited Agentforce 360 agreement. It will surface prospect and candidate context while launching specialized screening, recruiting and onboarding agents. The key...

  1. 01

Adecco’s earlier agentic recruitment system spans 10 countries and reportedly represents 50% of its business revenue.

  2. 02

  3. 03

Sales use cases include prospect prioritization, briefs, data enrichment and shared lead-status views.

Adecco Group is giving 27,000 employees a Salesforce-based AI coworker, taking a system tested in the UK and France into more than 40 countries. The shift is not simply a larger recruitment deployment: Adecco is positioning one interface to connect sales, hiring and client-candidate work that had been spread across dozens of tools.

The rollout centers on Salesforce’s Agentforce Coworker, an enterprise “AI teammate” embedded in Salesforce and powered by Anthropic’s Claude. Adecco says it will support sales, recruitment, and client and candidate engagement workflows under an unlimited Agentforce 360 enterprise agreement with Salesforce.

From specialized agents to a common desk

Adecco had already deployed agentic AI in recruitment workflows across 10 countries, an operation the company says represents 50% of Adecco business revenues. That earlier footprint was focused on recruitment processes. Coworker broadens the stated ambition: it is meant to be a daily entry point for employees working across sales and hiring, rather than a set of agents used only within a particular workflow.

Sales work and hiring work meet in the same interface

The practical contrast shows up in the tasks Adecco names. A salesperson can use Coworker to identify priority prospects, prepare a sales brief, enrich prospect data and check lead status across teams. A recruiter can select a candidate, then start a pre-screening, recruiter or onboarding agent from the same interface.

The two sides of the rollout

  • Sales teams: prospect prioritization, sales briefs, data enrichment and shared lead-status views.
  • Recruitment teams: candidate selection and access to pre-screening, recruiter and onboarding agents.
  • All users: a stated single point of access to data, systems and organizational knowledge previously distributed across dozens of tools.

The value proposition is context, not just task automation

Adecco says the coworker will draw on context from more than 2.5 million agent-candidate interactions since April 2025. That could give a recruiter candidate history and a salesperson client context without requiring each employee to navigate the underlying systems separately.

That is also the boundary Adecco is emphasizing. Chief executive Denis Machuel said the pilot showed strong adoption within days and described the goal as freeing recruiters and sales teams for “richer engagement with candidates and clients.” His formulation casts the system as preparation and coordination software, with people retaining the moments where human judgment is most important.

The announced scale makes that distinction consequential. Adecco is not describing an isolated assistant for a small pilot group; it is putting a shared AI layer in front of thousands of workers whose jobs depend on candidate histories, client needs and cross-team status. Whether that common layer improves the handoff between automated preparation and human decisions will define what this deployment becomes.
