Adobe Adds Image, Video and Document Creation to Slackbot
The integration makes Slack’s project conversations and files usable inputs for Adobe work, but it requires qualifying plans from both companies and leaves an open provenance question after export.

Adobe says Experience Platform agents can automate marketing and customer-experience workflows inside Slack.
Adobe has introduced Adobe for Slack, which lets Slackbot turn conversations and shared files into images, video and documents through Adobe tools. The release places creative production inside the workspace where project briefs, feedback and source material already circulate.
Users can ask Slackbot to create images, videos and documents from prompts without leaving Slack. The bot can use relevant channel conversations, Canvases and shared files as context when handling those requests, rather than treating the prompt as the only input.
Slackbot can search a Creative Cloud library by subject, style or mood, then bring matching assets into the conversation. That gives a request two kinds of material to work from: the current project discussion in Slack and older assets held in Adobe’s library.
The integration routes requests to tools including Firefly, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, Illustrator and InDesign. Adobe for Slack is therefore a conversational entry point to a set of specialized creative and document tools, not a single new image or video generator.
More than 70 Adobe tools are connected to the Slack integration.
Adobe positions the integration for team work as well as individual creation. Teams can review assets, share feedback and iterate on designs directly inside Slack channels while keeping projects connected to Adobe’s creative ecosystem.
Production jobs Adobe identifies
- Batch-editing product images.
- Resizing approved campaign creative for different platforms.
- Turning spreadsheets into shareable materials.
Adobe says its Experience Platform agents can automate marketing and customer-experience workflows from within Slack. That capability sits alongside the creative and document functions, extending the integration beyond making or revising an individual asset.
Adobe for Slack is not bundled into either company’s subscription. Customers need Slack Business+ or Enterprise+ and a separate Adobe subscription, setting the product apart from a broadly available Slackbot feature.
This is Adobe’s third integration of this kind, following versions for ChatGPT and Claude. Adobe has also promised a Gemini integration, continuing a strategy of putting its creative tools behind several conversational interfaces rather than reserving them for Adobe’s own applications.
Adobe co-authored C2PA, a provenance standard, and the European Commission’s transparency code lists C2PA as an example for machine-readable marking of synthetic content. But it has not been established whether C2PA credentials survive this particular path: generating content in Slack, downloading it and placing it into another application. That unresolved behavior matters for a workflow designed to move files between a chat client and other work tools.
