ALKU is using its acquisition of rockITdata to move beyond specialized staffing into consulting-led AI, data, and technology project delivery. The combination is aimed particularly at healthcare IT and specialized federal health work, with rockITdata providing project leadership and ALKU supplying technical talent at scale. The strategy could let clients buy staffing, consulting, and delivery from one provider, but the deal’s value was not disclosed.
rockITdata works with enterprise and public-sector clients on AI, digital transformation, and data analytics.
ALKU plans to retain its specialized staffing model while adding consulting and project ownership capabilities.
Healthcare IT and specialized federal health contracts are the acquisition’s explicitly named growth targets.
ALKU has acquired rockITdata, setting out to pair its specialized staffing business with AI consulting and project delivery. The company says the combination will help it offer more complete technology work while extending its healthcare IT capabilities and reach into specialized federal health contracts. Financial terms were not disclosed.
rockITdata consults for enterprise and public-sector clients on AI, digital transformation and data analytics. ALKU is a specialized staffing firm serving IT and life-sciences work. The acquisition joins rockITdata’s technical expertise and project leadership with ALKU’s staffing platform and access to AI and data-engineering talent.
The intended division of labor is straightforward. ALKU says rockITdata can draw on its pool of advanced AI and data-engineering professionals to meet demand in its existing business. In return, rockITdata gives ALKU a consulting operation that can lead and deliver technology projects, rather than only supply the specialists working on them. ALKU says clients can receive end-to-end project ownership at scale through the combined organization.
ALKU specifically identifies Healthcare Information Technology and specialized federal health contracts as areas the deal is meant to strengthen. That focus fits rockITdata’s work across healthcare, life sciences and government organizations, where it applies commercially proven technologies to digital transformation efforts.
ALKU also says the purchase accelerates its ability to provide high-touch AI solutions. That is a stated strategy, not a measure of completed work. The announcement does not put a value on the transaction, leaving the size of ALKU’s investment unknown even as the company lays out a broader services ambition.
The deal gives ALKU a route to sell talent, consulting and delivery through one organization in AI, data and health technology. Its practical success will depend on whether rockITdata’s project work and ALKU’s talent base can support the larger and more complex client engagements the companies say they are pursuing.
