Antare Launches AI Body-Camera Platform, With Fixed-Camera Integration Still to Come

Antare is entering physical security with a sharper proposition than recording video for later review: its software is designed to read footage and audio as they are captured, flag potential incidents, and turn each event into a searchable record. But the launch has two different time horizons: body-worn cameras and the Console are available now, while the link to customers’ existing fixed-camera fleets is still planned through the Cloud Gateway.

A camera system split across now and next

The immediate offer is Antare’s two body-worn camera models, the Pro and Compact, for customers in the US, UK and EU. The Pro is aimed at demanding frontline settings, with extended battery life, GPS and rugged construction; the Compact is intended as a lighter, more discreet option for customer-facing teams.

Both cameras, cellular connectivity and unlimited Console users are sold in an all-inclusive monthly subscription, without a minimum order or fixed term. That packaging puts the hardware, connection and software layer into one commercial offer rather than asking customers to assemble them separately.

The product combines live detection with a case file

Antare’s central contrast is between real-time response and later investigation. The Console automatically reviews recorded video and audio, then transcribes, indexes and scores events. Its AI agents watch for signals including physical or verbal assault, suspicious behavior, safety risks, medical events and weapons; alerts and live video can be sent to colleagues through the Antare App.

What the Console adds after an incident

• Free-text search for investigating recorded events.
• Daily email summaries intended to surface key events.
• Pattern detection for repeat offenders, theft hotspots and recurring problems across sites, according to Antare.

That combination is the meaningful product bet. An alert can direct a colleague to a possible problem while a transcript, index and recorded context can support a subsequent search or investigation. Antare says customers can select pre-configured alarms or describe their own alarms in free text, extending the system beyond its listed detection categories.

The fixed-camera promise is larger, but later

The Cloud Gateway is meant to close the divide between Antare’s own body cameras and a customer’s existing fixed infrastructure, placing both in one console. Antare has not given a release date for the gateway. It separately plans to introduce its own fixed-camera range in early 2027 through accredited partners.

Retention rules become part of the product decision

The system’s appeal also creates a data-handling question: it analyzes body-camera video and audio, including material tied to potential assaults, medical events and weapons. Antare says footage is encrypted on devices and in transit, erased from the device after reaching its secure cloud, and controlled through role-based access.

The company says data stays in the customer’s local UK, EU or US region and is automatically deleted after 30 days unless an authorized user retains it. Antare is SOC 2 Type I certified; it says SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications are in progress. Those controls and the eventual Gateway rollout will determine how far the product can move from a body-camera service to the unified physical-security layer Antare is pitching.
