Money a customer has already committed to Anthropic can now help pay for some partner software. Anthropic launched Claude Marketplace on September 23 to bring those products together with integrations and firms that help organizations roll out Claude.
A purchase against an existing commitment
Anthropic says customers can apply a portion of their committed spending to Claude-powered products from partners including CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey, Legora, Lovable and Snowflake. That makes the marketplace more than a place to find integrations: an existing commitment can also cover some purchases from other companies. The announcement does not specify how large a portion each customer can use.
Anthropic gives three examples of the arrangement in use. CodeRabbit put part of its commitment toward Vercel, where its coding agents run. Power Digital and ThoughtSpot used theirs toward Snowflake, where their data lives. Those examples show the purchase route at work, but not how widely customers will use it.
Anthropic’s launch count covers connectors and plugins, not partner products or consulting firms.
Connections, products and people
The three kinds of listing serve different jobs. Connectors and plugins link Claude to outside tools; examples come from Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Notion and Salesforce. A Claude-powered partner product is separate software a customer can buy. Service partners, including Accenture, Boston Consulting Group and Deloitte, help organizations plan and carry out deployments.
A connection can change what Claude has to work with, rather than add another product to buy. Atlassian, for instance, says its connector brings context from Confluence, Jira and its other apps into Claude. A team choosing among listings would need to distinguish that kind of access from software built around Claude or help deploying it.
How a partner gets listed
Anthropic offers different entry points for builders. Developers can make connectors and plugins using Model Context Protocol and Agent Skills. Sellers of Claude-powered products can apply for marketplace listings, while consulting and systems-integration firms can join the Claude Partner Network. The catalog gives each group a way to reach teams already using Claude.
