CDW’s planned purchase of Lovelytics would add a 600-plus-person consulting team with hands-on experience preparing enterprise data and deploying AI, rather than just another AI product offering. StocksToTrade reported the deal completed in October 2026, but the actual ownership-change date is not disclosed; CDW had expected a third-quarter close. The roughly $525 million acquisition was expected to have no material effect on CDW’s 2026 results, leaving integration, specialist retention and subsequent services revenue disclosures as key measures of whether the added expertise translates into growth.
Lovelytics’ team spans the United States, Canada, Argentina and Colombia, with services covering data migration, governance, machine learning and generative AI operations.
The firm is a Databricks Brickbuilder Partner and was the first consulting partner backed by Databricks Ventures.
Futurum analyst Tiffani Bova said CDW had not disclosed integration plans as of September 15, highlighting leadership, specialist retention and account coordination as open questions.
CDW is gaining more than 600 data and AI consulting specialists across the Americas through its acquisition of Lovelytics, which StocksToTrade reported completed on October 13, 2026. The transaction, announced at approximately $525 million, brings a Databricks-focused consulting business into CDW’s effort to help customers prepare data and put AI to work.
CDW originally expected closing in the third quarter, subject to customary conditions. The October article does not identify the actual closing date, so its publication date should not be read as the day ownership changed.
Lovelytics’ workforce spans the United States, Canada, Argentina and Colombia. Its services reach from moving and organizing customer data to implementing and operating machine-learning and generative AI systems. The acquisition was intended to strengthen CDW’s Data & Analytics Practice and its broader services portfolio across cloud, data and AI.
Databricks is central to that expertise. Lovelytics belongs to its Brickbuilder Partner Network and was the first consulting partner backed by Databricks Ventures. Those relationships give CDW an established platform specialization rather than an unspecified AI consulting capability. Lovelytics also has experience across energy, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, financial services and media, according to Futurum’s September analysis.
Futurum analyst Tiffani Bova framed the acquisition around a practical customer obstacle: getting enterprise data ready for AI. Her assessment emphasized Lovelytics’ advisory and implementation work, not simply access to technology. The proposed benefit was a team able to work inside customer organizations on the data preparation and delivery tasks that underpin their AI projects.
As of Futurum’s September 15 analysis, CDW had not disclosed integration plans. Bova highlighted leadership, specialist retention, account coordination and responsibility for delivery as details that would help customers understand the combined organization.
There is also a distinction between platform depth and the scope of a particular assignment. Bova cautioned customers against treating Lovelytics’ Databricks credentials as sufficient evidence of broader delivery coverage. Her advice was to assess the combined team against each project’s models, workflows and governance needs.
At announcement, CDW expected no material impact on its 2026 financial results. Bova argued that subsequent disclosure of services revenue, growth and profitability would be needed to judge the acquisition’s contribution.
