Context Labs launches AI Distillery to let businesses switch models without rebuilding data packages
The software is available through Microsoft Marketplace. Context Labs says company knowledge stays in the customer’s chosen environment and is not used to train third-party models.
AI Distillery organizes business records into a portable Context Package, which customers can use with different frontier or open-weight models without rebuilding the package when they switch. Context Labs says the software runs in a customer’s own data center or chosen cloud and checks model answers against company records; those safeguards and portability claims have not been independently verified. The product launched November 1, 2026, and is available through Microsoft Marketplace.

Context Labs says packaged knowledge is not used to train third-party models and that enterprise access controls apply.
Context Labs is promising enterprises control over the knowledge their AI uses—not just a choice of model. On November 1, 2026, it launched AI Distillery, software that packages company records for use in the customer’s own environment. Its promises of traceable answers and protected knowledge remain company assurances, rather than independently verified findings.
The product turns operational and business data into what Context Labs calls a Context Package, owned by the enterprise. The company says customers can use that package with their chosen frontier or open-weight model, then switch models without rebuilding it. The package, rather than a particular model, is the asset the launch is built around.
From business records to checkable answers
Context Labs describes a three-step workflow: distill, package and prove. First, the software maps structured and unstructured data to industry-specific ontologies—organized definitions and relationships for the sector. It then stores the result in a Context Package with cryptographic provenance, a record of where the information came from.
The final step checks answers against the company’s own records before a model enters production, according to Context Labs. It also says outputs carry data lineage and decision provenance: information intended to show which records and decisions sit behind an answer.
The package is also meant to preserve how a business describes and runs its operations. Context Labs says customers can begin with one facility and extend the package to others without rebuilding. It presents the preparation process as a guided, governed workflow for work that has typically required specialist engineering teams.
Customer control covers hosting and model choice
AI Distillery is designed to run in the customer’s own data center or chosen cloud. That is what Context Labs means here by “sovereign” AI: the customer decides where the data stays.
Context Labs says knowledge inside the package remains under the enterprise’s control and is not used to train third-party AI models. It also says intelligence employees create through everyday use accrues to the enterprise, not the model provider.
Two ways employees can use the package
Context Agents answer operational, commercial and compliance questions from the package. Context Labs says every figure is traced to its source.
The Semantic Context Tunnel brings the same business context into the AI assistant employees already use. Both tools operate within enterprise-set access controls.
The launch includes an energy-sector demonstration at ADIPEC 2026. Context Labs says it is showing a Context Agent answering operational questions with figures traced to underlying plant records.
AI Distillery is available now through Microsoft Marketplace, Context Labs says. Each enterprise license includes an industry starter kit. Customers can also request a briefing or technical working session.
