Crusoe Signs Reported $13 Billion, Five-Year AI Cloud Deal With Jane Street

Crusoe has signed a reported five-year cloud contract worth roughly $13 billion with Jane Street, a commitment that would provide the trading firm GPU clusters and other infrastructure for AI work through Crusoe’s cloud platform.

Bloomberg reported the private agreement September 3, citing people familiar with the matter who requested anonymity. Under the reported terms, Crusoe would supply clusters of advanced AI chips known as GPUs, plus other infrastructure, for AI training and inference.

A cloud commitment alongside existing customers

Jane Street would join a Crusoe customer roster that already includes contracts to supply AI computing power to Meta and Oracle. The Jane Street contract is described as cloud infrastructure for workloads, not simply a purchase of chips: Crusoe’s platform would deliver the equipment and related infrastructure needed for the firm’s training and inference use.

The reported deal arrives after Crusoe’s June capacity disclosure. The company said then that it had contracted 4.9 gigawatts of AI infrastructure across data-center projects and Crusoe Cloud capacity. That is a combined figure, rather than a measure of cloud capacity alone.

The deployment remains unspecified

The reported terms do not state where Jane Street’s infrastructure would be located, how much power or how many GPUs it would cover, or when service would begin. Those details would show how the contract maps onto Crusoe’s physical buildout and available cloud capacity.

Crusoe has also said its development pipeline exceeds 40 gigawatts, but that figure combines contracted projects with sites under active tenant negotiation and projects in advanced development. The company’s existing construction program includes a 1.2-gigawatt Abilene, Texas campus purpose-built for Oracle; Crusoe said two buildings were operational and six more were under construction.
