EXL has more than 74,000 employees across six continents; the acquisition adds capacity rather than a disclosed new product.
EXL is promising businesses one partner to design, build and run their AI systems. Its concrete addition is a specialist workforce: on November 5, 2026, EXL said it had acquired Aimpoint Digital, bringing approximately 250 AI and data professionals into the company. The purchase price was not disclosed, leaving the financial scale of the deal unknown.
Buying the people who put AI into production
Aimpoint Digital is a data and AI consulting and platform-engineering firm.
The incoming workforce spans several parts of that process, rather than software engineering alone. EXL identified AI engineers, platform architects, analytics consultants, decision scientists and AI strategists among the roughly 250 professionals. The company says the addition increases its capacity for complex projects that can run for multiple years.
EXL calls this a larger “forward-deployed” talent base: senior specialists working close to client teams. The intended division of labor pairs Aimpoint’s hands-on strategy and engineering work with EXL’s industry knowledge, AI technology and ability to run business operations at scale. EXL reports more than 74,000 employees across six continents.
Together, we can take clients’ most important AI initiatives into production and keep them performing at the highest levels.

Fewer handoffs is the operating promise
EXL’s rationale centers on a problem it says enterprises still face: moving AI experiments into systems that deliver value at production scale.
That proposed service chain covers distinct responsibilities. Strategy sets the direction; architecture and engineering cover the design and construction; deployment puts the system into production. Managed AI operations extends the relationship beyond that launch. EXL says bringing those responsibilities together is designed to reduce handoffs and establish clearer accountability, rather than leave clients coordinating disconnected stages.
Platform expertise, without a disclosed price
Aimpoint also brings expertise with Anthropic, Databricks and Snowflake, according to EXL. The buyer says that knowledge deepens its existing technology relationships and broadens its partner reach. Its stated approach is to help clients redesign core workflows while continuing to build on platforms they already trust.
