GenScript opened applications on October 8, 2026, for its Life Sciences Startup PitchFest with NVIDIA, a global competition for AI biotech startups. The program aims to move computer-generated predictions toward laboratory evidence. Up to six finalists will pitch during JPM Week in January 2027, with laboratory-data and NVIDIA Brev credits awarded to the winner.
From protein design to a judged pitch
The inaugural competition targets startups applying AI to therapeutic discovery and life sciences. Its scope includes AI-driven antibody and protein design, along with technologies that accelerate the design-build-test-learn cycle: developing a design, making it, testing it and using the results to guide the next version.
Finalists are scheduled to be confirmed in December. They will present before a panel of judges at the GenScript-hosted January event. GenScript says the competition is intended to connect emerging companies with investors, technology leaders and partners focused on turning computational predictions into biological proof.
Laboratory validation joins startup support
The partners have different assignments, pairing GenScript’s physical-testing expertise with NVIDIA’s computing platforms and startup network. Their planned contributions include:
- GenScript will contribute experimental validation expertise and capabilities for turning biological sequences into laboratory data.
- NVIDIA will provide access to NVIDIA Inception, its free program helping startups build, scale and connect across its platform and ecosystem.
To harness the true potential of AI in life sciences, we must build an ecosystem where world-class computation meets trusted, scalable biological validation.
Ray Chen, President of GenScript Life Science Group
The winner’s award combines GenScript wet-lab data credits with NVIDIA Brev credits to support development. The value of either award has not been disclosed in the announcement.
Finalists will also be invited to GenScript’s Biotech Global Forum, where they can engage with biotechnology executives, strategic partners and industry leaders. That invitation adds a networking opportunity beyond the judged pitches.
GenScript says judging criteria, speakers and investor participation will be announced in the coming weeks.
