Google’s AI Mode is moving deeper into travel transactions. It can now watch selected flight prices and email travelers when those fares change, across more than 180 countries. In the United States, it’s also beginning to let English-language users book hotel rooms without leaving the conversational search experience. For flights, a traveler can describe a destination and dates, compare current options, or ask AI Mode to monitor a specific fare. The system draws prices from more than 300 airlines and travel sites. It can also show the points or miles needed for matching flight and hotel options worldwide, giving frequent travelers another way to compare the real cost of a trip. The hotel rollout is narrower for now. It’s starting in the U.S. over the coming weeks, with partners including Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. After choosing a participating listing, users can select a room, review details such as the cancellation policy, and pay with Google Pay. The important boundary is that Google is providing the discovery and payment path, not taking responsibility for the reservation. The hotel or booking platform still handles fulfillment and customer service. The key thing to watch is whether this staged hotel rollout expands beyond the U.S. while Google’s travel interface takes on more of the purchase workflow.

Google AI Mode now gives travelers one conversational route to compare flights, receive fare-change alerts and, in its U.S. rollout, complete hotel bookings with partners. Google has added price tracking, hotel booking and points-or-miles pricing, pushing the product further from travel research toward transaction steps.

For flights, users can describe their dates and destination to see options and current prices. They can build an itinerary in AI Mode or ask it to watch a selected fare; Google emails the user if the price changes for the destination and dates entered.

The wider rollout is on flight tracking

Flight-price tracking is available in more than 180 countries. AI Mode can draw its flight choices and current prices from more than 300 airlines and travel sites, making the alert feature a global layer on top of a broad set of travel listings.

Hotel checkout stays inside the conversation longer

The hotel flow starts with trip details and preferences. AI Mode returns options with reviews and key factors; after choosing Continue on Google beside an integrated partner, a user can select a room, review details including the cancellation policy, and complete the booking with Google Pay.

Hotel booking has begun rolling out in the U.S. in English and is expected to become available over the coming weeks. The participating offerings include Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Award pricing is global; reservation responsibility is not Google's

AI Mode can also show the points or miles required for matching flight and hotel options worldwide. For hotel reservations, however, the hotel or booking platform handles the booking and customer service, even when the traveler uses Google’s discovery and payment path.
