Google Cloud and Accenture Launch Group for 1,000 AI Deployment Engineers

Companies adopting Gemini Enterprise will have a new source of implementation help. Google Cloud and Accenture have launched a business group that plans to build a 1,000-person workforce of forward-deployed engineers for client AI work.

The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group sits within the companies’ existing Accenture Google Business Group. Accenture says it brings together Gemini Enterprise-certified professionals, forward-deployed engineers, specialized Google Cloud engineers, and Accenture’s industry and functional specialists.

Engineers move closer to the customer

Forward-deployed engineers, often called FDEs, work directly with customers on deployments. TechCrunch reported that Google will train up to 1,000 Accenture FDEs to work with enterprises and build custom AI applications on Gemini Enterprise. The group is designed to support clients ranging from smaller business-unit projects to wider company changes.

A delivery program, not just access

Accenture says the group will operate across the Gemini Enterprise portfolio. Its stated focus is to make deployments easier to adopt, create reusable solutions for specific industries, link experiments to larger rollouts through capability centers, and encourage employees to use the resulting tools.

A specialized layer inside a larger practice

The new group builds on nearly 50,000 Accenture professionals skilled in Google Cloud, according to Accenture. The FDE plan is a more focused part of that broader services base, aimed at building and deploying Gemini Enterprise applications with individual customers.

One prior client result sets an early reference point

Accenture points to YouTube as an example of the partners’ earlier work. The company says YouTube deployed a Gemini Enterprise agent during NFL Sunday Ticket surge demand, raising customer sentiment 11% and cutting average handle time 37%. Those company-supplied figures describe one prior deployment, not results for the new group’s future clients.
