Google Cloud is putting Gemini Enterprise into two of the most demanding corners of business: finance and legal work. Both new packages are launching in preview, with specialized agents, connections to company data, and tools from outside partners built around regulated workflows. The finance offering is deliberately narrow at first. It targets capital markets and corporate banking, rather than the entire financial-services industry. It includes a Google-managed Financial Research agent, more than fifty specialized skills, enterprise data connectors, and third-party agents. The intended uses range from helping relationship managers and advisors generate insights, to modernizing onboarding and know-your-customer processes. It can also analyze risk exposure in bond portfolios, identify opportunities in credit markets, and speed up client-pitch preparation. The legal package takes a similar approach. Google Cloud has launched two industry-specific Gemini Enterprise offerings, aiming to place specialized agents, enterprise data connections and partner tools around financial and legal workflows. The products are the first in a planned series, but both begin in preview rather than broad general availability.

From workplace chat to vertical agent packages

Google introduced Gemini Enterprise in October 2025 as a workplace conversational platform meant to connect a company’s data, tools and people. It lets employees work with company documents, data and applications, while supplying pre-built agents and tools to build and deploy customized ones.

The finance and legal products are a more targeted version of that premise: each combines domain-focused agent skills with connectors to enterprise systems and an ecosystem of third-party agents. Google Cloud has positioned them as the opening two products in a larger industry-specific lineup.

The financial-services entry point is narrow by design

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is initially in preview for capital markets and corporate banking. Its package includes a Google-managed Financial Research agent, more than 50 specialized skills, enterprise data connectors and a third-party agent ecosystem.

The legal package is aimed at monitoring global mandates, compiling personal data, reviewing and negotiating contracts, maintaining contracting playbooks, preparing court filings and drafting nondisclosure agreements. Those are high-consequence tasks, so the product’s utility will depend on how well its specialized skills and connected systems fit teams’ existing legal operations.

Preview status leaves the next proof point open

For now, the rollout boundary is clear: finance starts with capital markets and corporate banking, and both new products are previews. Alphabet said in July that nearly 90% of Fortune 100 companies use Gemini Enterprise, giving Google a large stated enterprise footprint for the new packages to address. The next move is expansion beyond these first two vertical offerings; Google has identified them as the start of a series, not its endpoint.
