The October 12, 2026 agreement gives HCLTech a services-and-software route to take Anthropic’s Claude models into enterprise workflows: HCLTech will support deployments and training, while its software business plans integrations into selected products. A dedicated business unit and Center of Excellence, plus planned safeguards for high-impact AI Force workflows, make implementation and oversight part of the offer. The integrations and controls are announced plans, not evidence of deployment results; their execution will show whether the partnership can turn Claude access into governed enterprise use.
HCLTech says it employs more than 223,000 people across 60 countries, giving the partnership a large services and deployment footprint.
HCLSoftware plans Claude integrations for HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan, and will enable Actian AI analyst.
AI Force will integrate Claude and Claude Code for IT support, code remediation and digital employee services, with guardrails and human oversight for high-impact changes.
Claude is set to enter more enterprise software and IT workflows through HCLTech, which will build a dedicated team to support deployments. The technology services company signed a global partnership with Anthropic on October 12, 2026, pairing planned product integrations with deployment support, workforce training and controls for consequential AI-driven changes.
The agreement, called a Global Premier Partnership, puts safety, cybersecurity and governance at the center of the companies’ enterprise pitch. HCLTech’s services teams will develop industry offerings using Claude, Cowork and Claude Code. Its software business will take a different route: embedding Anthropic capabilities into selected products.
HCLTech will establish a dedicated Anthropic business unit and Center of Excellence to develop AI agents and support enterprise Claude deployments. The planned center will provide secure sandbox environments—separate spaces for deployment work—as part of that effort. This gives the partnership an organizational commitment alongside its software integration plans.
The services remit extends beyond installing tools. HCLTech says it will help clients adopt AI-native engineering practices, train their workforces and develop the organizational capabilities needed to operate AI agents safely at scale. Those activities sit within the same partnership as the planned product integrations, rather than a separate training announcement.
HCLTech brings a substantial services footprint to that work. The company says it employs more than 223,000 people across 60 countries. Anthropic president and co-founder Daniela Amodei framed the agreement around HCLTech’s role managing sensitive systems for banks, hospitals, telecom companies and manufacturers.
AI can only be as useful as it is trustworthy, and we build Claude to give companies the confidence to bring it into their most sensitive and valuable work. HCLTech manages those kinds of systems for banks, hospitals, telecom companies and manufacturers, and we’re excited to partner with them as they integrate Claude and Claude Code. This partnership — and our broader commitment to advancing capability and safety together — is how AI will change the way entire industries run for the better,
Daniela Amodei, co-founder and president of Anthropic
HCLSoftware becomes an Anthropic independent software vendor partner, meaning it will embed Claude capabilities into software it supplies. It will also have access to advanced models for those integrations. The named products and workflows span security, automation, business processes and application development, rather than a single standalone Claude application.
For AI Force, HCLTech says the workflows will include policy guardrails, exception handling and human oversight for high-impact changes. That describes several layers of control: rules governing the work, handling for exceptions and people overseeing consequential changes. The safeguards are part of the announced integration design, not measured evidence of deployment outcomes.
