Moonshot AI is hiring a Singapore-based commercial lead to turn early customer traction into revenue, strategic partnerships and broader market presence. The role is open to candidates from sales, venture capital, consulting, product or engineering, but the listing does not establish plans for a new office or a larger Southeast Asia operation. Moonshot did not immediately comment to Reuters on its Singapore plans, and the scale of any expansion remains unspecified.
The LinkedIn vacancy was dated October 20; Reuters reported the hiring the following day.
Reuters-cited registry records show a Moonshot business entity was incorporated in Singapore in July 2023 and renamed Novascent in June 2026.
Tencent Holdings, Meituan and China Mobile are among Moonshot AI’s backers.
Moonshot AI is recruiting for a Singapore sales role, giving its overseas commercial ambitions a concrete hiring signal. Reuters reported the Chinese AI startup’s expansion on October 21, citing a vacancy on the company’s LinkedIn page dated October 20. The immediate development is recruitment, rather than a company announcement detailing a new office.
The vacancy seeks applicants with experience in sales, venture capital, consulting, product or engineering. That gives candidates several routes into the position, rather than restricting recruitment to people with a conventional sales background. The listing describes the task in commercial terms:
translate early wins into scalable revenue, strategic partnerships, and market presence

Tekedia’s analysis of the recruitment highlights the work behind that mandate: persuading customers to deploy AI products, demonstrating reliable results and maintaining relationships that support continued use. It argues that technical performance and market attention do not automatically produce recurring commercial income. The position is aimed at helping bridge that gap.
Moonshot already has corporate ties to Singapore. Business registry records cited by Reuters show that a Moonshot business entity was incorporated there in July 2023 and renamed Novascent in June 2026. The Beijing-based startup’s backers include Tencent Holdings, Meituan and China Mobile.
Singapore’s role as a regional business centre could provide a platform for relationships with enterprises and partners across Southeast Asia, Tekedia noted. That is a possible benefit of a local presence, not a regional operating plan announced by Moonshot.
The listing does not establish the scale of Moonshot’s planned expansion or whether it intends to build a larger operational presence in Singapore. Moonshot did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment on October 21 about its Singapore plans.
