OpenAI adds collaborative slide decks to ChatGPT, with PowerPoint and Google Slides export
ChatGPT Slides combines AI-assisted creation with hands-on editing and shared comments. Access requires an eligible Pro, Business or Enterprise account with Space.
ChatGPT Slides gives teams a shared workspace to create and revise presentations with AI while editing the same deck together in real time. The feature connects deck creation to collaboration inside ChatGPT and offers ways to present there or move work into other presentation tools. Access is limited during rollout to eligible Pro, Business and Enterprise users who have Space access, so a paid plan alone may not be enough.

Web users can export to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides; the desktop app can open decks in PowerPoint or Keynote if installed.
OpenAI added a shared presentation workspace to ChatGPT on October 16, 2026. The new ChatGPT Slides feature lets users build a deck from existing material, edit its contents and invite colleagues to work on it together. It is rolling out on the web and desktop to eligible Pro, Business and Enterprise users with Space access.
Build with AI, revise by hand
A presentation can begin with a conversation, uploaded files or an outline. Users can also share an example deck to guide its style and layout. That gives the creation process two kinds of input: material for the presentation itself and a reference for how it should look.
The editing workflow does not require every revision to become another prompt. Users can change text, images, shapes and charts directly, or ask ChatGPT to make changes. For visuals, they can generate custom images or add their own. Both hands-on editing and conversational requests are part of the feature.
Teamwork happens on the same deck in Space. Users can invite teammates to edit in real time and leave shared comments, combining changes to the presentation with a place for feedback. The collaboration tools sit alongside the AI-assisted creation and revision controls.
Present inside ChatGPT—or take the deck elsewhere
A finished presentation does not have to leave ChatGPT: Slides supports presenting directly from the product. For users who want to take the deck into another tool or produce a PDF, OpenAI describes different options for the browser and desktop app.
On the web: export the presentation to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides.
In the desktop app: open the deck in PowerPoint or Keynote, provided the relevant app is installed.
To start, OpenAI’s instructions are to ask ChatGPT in Work to create a presentation in Space. That is the entry point for eligible users; the slide creation and team editing take place in Space.
