OpenAI’s DevDay keynote is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern, and 5 p.m. UTC. It will stream free on OpenAI’s official page, so the main event is accessible even though in-person applications are closed. The confirmed program is aimed squarely at developers: technical sessions on tools, demos, workshops, and time with the teams behind OpenAI’s products. OpenAI says other sessions will be recorded and posted later, but it has not promised a livestream of the full day. The public schedule also names no products or models for launch. That leaves the pre-event rumors in a different category. TestingCatalog says it found clues to an always-on assistant called “o,” and has separately reported references to a possible ChatGPT Pro Max plan at $500 a month. Those are reports, not OpenAI announcements: the assistant’s capabilities, timing, and access, along with the plan’s price and benefits, remain unconfirmed. At the keynote, the useful details will be practical: what people can access, when, at what cost, and under what limits. If a persistent assistant appears, permissions and user oversight matter as much as its abilities. The firm constraint going in is simple: only the keynote is confirmed live, and none of the rumored launches are confirmed.
