PicPay is opening a new AI doorway for Brazilian banking customers: an early-access Claude connector that can answer questions about accounts and cards, but cannot move money. The feature is free across Claude’s subscription plans and works on both Android and iOS. Customers join through an early-access list, then find PicPay in Claude’s Connectors tab and sign in through PicPay’s online banking. The PicPay app itself is not required. Once linked, Claude can retrieve account and savings-pot balances, outstanding bills, investments, active cards, favorite Pix contacts, and recent or upcoming transactions. It can also show credit-card statement balances and completed card transactions. That gives customers a conversational way to inspect financial information without navigating several screens. The important boundary is operational, not informational. At launch, Claude can look up and monitor data, but it cannot execute transactions or any other financial operation. PicPay says the connection uses the same security layers as its app, including facial biometric authentication, and follows its security and privacy standards. This extends PicPay’s existing banking-plugin strategy beyond ChatGPT. Customers who already use the ChatGPT plugin can join the Claude rollout too. PicPay says the newer card-statement and completed-transaction views will eventually come to its OpenAI plugin, but it has not given a date. PicPay is rolling out early access to a Claude integration in Brazil, letting authenticated customers ask natural-language questions about account and card information. The feature is free across Claude subscription tiers, but it cannot execute transactions or other financial operations.

The rollout will expand gradually through an early-access list. It is available on Android and iOS, and customers who already use PicPay’s ChatGPT plugin can also use the Claude feature. Customers do not need the PicPay app installed to connect an account.

A second route into PicPay data

The Claude launch follows PicPay’s recent ChatGPT plugin. In its Aug. 24 second-quarter results, the company described integrated plugins across Claude and ChatGPT as conversational routes to balance, statement and investment queries. That earlier release placed the two services within the same banking-plugin strategy.

PicPay says Claude includes credit-card statement-balance and completed-transaction views that will soon reach its OpenAI plugin as well. The company did not give a date for that ChatGPT addition.
