POSCO DX invests 2 billion won in Enhans to build AI agents around workers’ know-how
The linked cooperation agreement targets knowledge that rarely makes it into manuals. Office testing comes first; production, equipment and logistics are planned next.
The deal pairs POSCO DX’s industry experience with Enhans’ AgentOS to encode not only company records but also veteran workers’ exception-handling and judgment criteria. POSCO Group has tested the platform on office tasks and is evaluating agents for financial profitability analysis; production, facilities and logistics are planned extensions, not deployed systems. The 2 billion won investment (about $1.5 million) supports a staged effort to move enterprise agents from office workflows toward industrial operations, with real-world applicability still being assessed.

POSCO DX has invested 2 billion won in AI startup Enhans and signed a linked agreement to build agents that carry out business tasks. The partnership aims to turn experienced workers’ know-how into knowledge AI can use, with office applications providing the starting point for a planned push into industrial operations.
The funding, approximately $1.5 million, came through the POSCO DX CVC New Technology Investment Fund, according to WOWTALE. POSCO DX co-manages that fund with POSCO INVESTMENT. Alongside the investment, the companies entered a business cooperation agreement focused on developing AI agents specialized in task execution, tying the financing to joint development work.
Connecting records—and the judgment behind them
The technology at the center of the agreement is Enhans’ AgentOS, an enterprise AI operating system built around ontology technology. Here, ontology means connecting information by its meaning and relationships within a business process. The goal is to give an AI agent the context of a task, rather than leave it working with disconnected records.
POSCO DX describes scattered company data as a barrier to putting AI to work. Information may sit across multiple systems, making it difficult for an agent to understand how the pieces relate to the job it must complete. The partnership is intended to address that problem by organizing information around work context.
The ambition goes beyond linking existing documents. POSCO DX wants the agents to reflect veteran workers’ experience, their responses to exceptions and the criteria behind their judgments. As Seoul Economic Daily explains, that includes knowledge employees have built through experience but find difficult to capture clearly in systems or written instructions.
Office work is the proving ground
Before the partnership, POSCO Group applied AgentOS to office tasks to test its effectiveness. It is now developing agents for financial profitability analysis and other functions while evaluating whether they can be used in real work. That places practical application testing between the earlier office trials and the partners’ wider industrial ambitions.
The proposed next step is to bring the approach into industrial operations. The companies identify three areas for expansion:
Production work at industrial sites.
Equipment and facilities operations.
Logistics, alongside other industrial activities.
POSCO DX intends to combine its industry-specific business experience with Enhans’ software, developing solutions for steel, logistics and related sectors in stages. Those industrial applications remain plans, rather than a completed rollout. The agreement sets a direction for extending the office work into sector-specific systems; it does not make those systems available today.
