Prime Video Adds AI Lip-Sync to Maxton Hall’s English Dubs

Prime Video has released English-language versions of Maxton Hall that use AI to synchronize actors’ mouth movements with dubbed dialogue. The feature is available globally for the German-language series’ first two seasons, changing both the audio and the image for English-language viewers.

Prime Video says the AI adjustment is intended to make its English dubs look more natural. The service is not only supplying translated speech; it is synchronizing the performers’ visible mouth movements with that English dialogue. The company’s promise rests on whether that visual match makes the dubbed version feel more natural to viewers.

Maxton Hall is the first series receiving the feature. Prime Video describes it as its most-watched international original series to date, making the romance a prominent test case for the new kind of English dub. The first rollout covers Seasons 1 and 2, which became available with English lip-sync dubs on September 9.

UFA, the show’s producer, says Maxton Hall is available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and regions. That distribution gives the feature broad availability from its first title, without establishing how many viewers will choose the new English version. Prime Video also plans to use the feature for Season 3.

Season 3 is scheduled to arrive on December 9, 2026, and UFA describes it as the final season. Including lip-sync dubbing in the finale means Prime Video is carrying the approach beyond existing episodes and into the series’ conclusion. Whether audiences prefer the altered English presentation over a conventional dub remains the practical question behind the rollout.
