Salesforce’s new Madrid office is intended to anchor customer-facing AI deployments in Spain and a graduate pipeline for EMEA South, rather than function only as a regional headquarters. Graduates from multiple nationalities are to train in Spain for a year and then return home to build local implementation capacity. The accompanying $1 billion pledge covers five years, but Salesforce has not disclosed allocations or committed to job or recruitment targets, so the operational scale remains unspecified.
The five-floor Paseo de la Castellana site will serve as Salesforce’s EMEA South hub, with customer collaboration spaces and hands-on agentic AI training.
Salesforce’s AI Implementation Team will pair Forward Deployed Engineers serving Spanish customers with regional graduate recruitment and training.
Salesforce describes EMEA South as spanning more than 90 countries across three continents.
Salesforce pledged $1 billion for Spain over five years on October 19, 2026, pairing the inauguration of its Madrid headquarters with plans for AI deployment and training teams.
The five-floor office on Paseo de la Castellana will serve as Salesforce’s EMEA South hub. It includes spaces for customer collaboration and hands-on training in agentic AI: systems the company describes as enabling autonomous agents to work alongside human teams.
The Community of Madrid’s official agenda independently listed the headquarters presentation for October 19, with regional Digitalization Minister Miguel López-Valverde attending. Salesforce said the investment announcement took place at the inauguration, alongside executives, customers and partners.
The dollar figure is a planned investment, not a statement that the money has already been spent. Salesforce did not disclose how much will go to the headquarters, customer implementation work or graduate training. It also gave no target for new jobs or the number of graduates it intends to recruit.
At the center of the plan is an AI Implementation Team with two responsibilities. The first is customer delivery: it will bring together Forward Deployed Engineers, Salesforce’s term for engineers who work directly with customers to design and deploy AI-agent applications.
That role is focused on Spanish customers. The team’s second responsibility reaches beyond Spain: managing a regional center for recruiting and training graduates.
Salesforce describes that region as spanning more than 90 countries across three continents.
Salesforce says it has created more than 600 direct jobs in Spain since entering the country in 2003. That figure covers past hiring, not jobs promised under the new five-year investment.
