Snap is making cellular connectivity an optional, recurring-cost upgrade for its upcoming Specs glasses rather than a standard capability. Buyers in the US, UK, and France can pay $2,395 for the case-equipped bundle, versus $2,195 for standard preorders, then add carrier service. Verizon pricing starts at $10 monthly for existing phone customers and $20 for others; EE and Orange will serve the UK and France.
Specs preorders remain $2,195; the cellular charging-case bundle costs $2,395.

Snap is adding an optional cellular-connected charging case to its forthcoming Specs glasses. The bundle costs $2,395—$200 more than the regular model—and requires carrier service, turning connectivity into a separate purchase rather than a standard feature.
Specs preorders remain priced at $2,195. Snap says the glasses are due this fall in the United States, United Kingdom and France, but it has not given customers a specific shipping date. The cellular case is available as an upgrade in those three launch markets.
The new case brings a continuing service cost as well as the hardware premium. In the US, Verizon will provide Specs connectivity starting at $10 a month for Verizon phone customers and $20 a month for other customers. Snap has named EE as its UK carrier and Orange as its French carrier.
The hardware update arrives alongside Specs Intelligence, Snap’s AI agent for Specs, iPhone and Mac. Snap describes it as a system meant to proactively surface useful information and actions. Its initial iPhone public preview is limited to the US and provides insights from Gmail and Google Calendar; the fuller macOS experience is invite-only.
Snap has not identified the model provider behind Specs Intelligence or said how the service will be priced after the free preview period. Those details are separate from the cellular-case offer, which is the newly disclosed hardware and service option for buyers.
Prospective buyers will be able to try Specs at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles from October 1 through at least the holiday season. For now, the purchase decision is defined more clearly than the delivery timetable: pay the regular price, or add the cellular case and a carrier plan.
