STMicroelectronics is bringing model discovery, dataset preparation, customization and hardware benchmarking into a redesigned ST Edge AI Suite for STM32 development. The suite is scheduled to become available in late November 2026; its remote Model Bench is intended to let developers test performance on ST hardware before deployment. The change consolidates existing resources and services into one workflow rather than introducing a new model family, giving developers a more direct route from ST’s pretrained models to application-specific testing.
ST says its existing model collection includes more than 400 pretrained models, with a large selection for sensing applications.
Model Explorer moves access to the collection from ST’s Model Zoo GitHub repository to a web interface.
Model Bench succeeds ST Edge AI Developer Cloud and will use ST’s board farm for remote hardware benchmarking.
Developers building AI into STM32 microcontrollers are getting a consolidated path from choosing a model to testing it on hardware. STMicroelectronics announced four tools for that workflow on November 4, 2026. The redesigned ST Edge AI Suite covers model discovery, data preparation, customization and benchmarking, with availability planned for late November.
Model discovery starts with an existing collection, rather than a newly announced model family. ST says it has more than 400 pretrained AI models, including a large selection for sensing applications. Model Explorer gives that library a web interface; the models were previously accessible through the company’s Model Zoo GitHub repository.
Model Bench supplies the hardware-testing stage. Through a web interface, developers will be able to benchmark models remotely using ST’s board farm. The purpose is to validate performance before deployment.
The workflow remains tied to ST’s wider development ecosystem. ST Edge AI Suite connects users with an STM32 lineup containing more than 4,000 commercial part numbers. The associated STM32Cube environment provides microcontroller selection and configuration tools, software libraries and code examples, while letting developers work in their preferred software-development environment.
STM32Cube also connects developers with evaluation hardware, from low-cost Nucleo boards to Discovery kits. Expansion cards cover functions including wireless connectivity, vision, sensing and motor drives.
ST says Edge AI Suite already supports more than 260,000 projects. Its stated user base spans major technology companies, startups and independent developers. For developers awaiting the new tools, ST offers notification registration and directs users to the current version of the suite.
