The partnership extension targets customer experiences and internal work.

Voya plans to use UnqorkAI for selected retirement experiences and internal workflows, extending a software relationship that dates to 2019. The announced scope is targeted rather than companywide, with onboarding identified as an opportunity and security, cost controls and responsible AI practices set as conditions. Unqork pitches the platform as a governed way to build and run AI-generated applications in regulated settings, but the announcement reports no measured gains in speed, cost or customer outcomes.
Voya has used Unqork since 2019 for its Sponsor Onboarding and Producer Onboarding applications, which the companies describe as mission-critical.
Voya supports more than 18 million customer relationships across retirement, employee benefits and investment management.
Unqork says UnqorkAI can reduce application-maintenance overhead and total cost of ownership; these are platform claims, not reported Voya results.
Voya Financial has selected UnqorkAI to improve retirement experiences and internal workflows, extending a technology relationship that began in 2019. Unqork’s October 13, 2026 announcement promises faster application development with stronger governance. The concrete change is Voya’s platform selection—not demonstrated improvements in onboarding speed, operating costs or customer outcomes.
The selection covers targeted retirement experiences and workflow initiatives, rather than a specified companywide rollout. Voya provides retirement, employee-benefits and investment-management services, supporting more than 18 million customer relationships.
Voya intends to use the platform to help customers move from guidance to action, support internal workflows and connect client experiences. Rajat Kalia, Voya’s chief technology officer for workplace solutions, identified onboarding as an opportunity. He described the company as an early adopter, while emphasizing security, cost controls and responsible AI practices.
The companies already have an application-building history. Voya has used Unqork since 2019 to build and manage its Sponsor Onboarding and Producer Onboarding applications. The announcement describes those systems as mission-critical and says they replaced legacy complexity with streamlined workflows.
At Voya, we start with the business problem and apply AI where it can create meaningful value for our customers and clients.

Unqork describes UnqorkAI as a platform for building and running AI-generated applications in highly regulated industries. Its pitch is about how enterprise software is created and operated, not simply adding a conversational interface. The company says the platform offers greater development speed, predictability and governance, alongside lower costs.
The cost claim includes the work that follows deployment. Unqork says its platform can reduce ongoing application-maintenance overhead and lower total cost of ownership—the combined expense of building and operating software.
Unqork CEO and founder Gary Hoberman argues that speed and governance can coexist by eliminating technical debt: the software burdens that accumulate and require maintenance. He also credits Voya with reducing maintenance burdens, the amount of code and enterprise risk.
For Voya, security, cost controls and enterprise governance are stated conditions of the planned onboarding improvements.
