At its October 13, 2026 Workday Rising event, Workday positioned Sana as a role-adaptive layer where employees can act on generated forms, approvals and agent output, alongside products for employee services and business planning. Its recruiting demo kept a human approval point before autonomous scheduling but disclosed no hiring results. Work Intelligence maps task and skill shifts, while Decision Intelligence combines workforce and financial data to test plans such as hiring 50 people—linking agent workflows to operational decisions, not just chat.
Sana Home uses Jev, a model from TypeSafe AI, to generate interactive forms, calendars, approval cards and visualizations in real time.
Sana Concierge is designed to resolve employee requests involving onboarding, leave and passwords for HR and IT teams.
Workday says its Skills Cloud uses a classification of more than 75,000 standardized skills to support Work Intelligence.
Employees will have one place to see tasks, meetings, decisions and AI-agent activity under Workday’s newly announced interface. At Workday Rising on October 13, 2026, the company said Sana is becoming the new Workday Home, alongside an employee-service agent and two intelligence platforms aimed at how work changes and how business decisions get made.
Workday says Sana’s Home experience can adapt to each employee’s role. Using Jev, a model from TypeSafe AI, its interface can generate interactive applications in real time. Examples include forms, calendars, approval cards and visualizations—ways to display information or let a worker respond within the experience.
The company also introduced Sana Concierge for human resources and information technology teams. Workday says the service agent can resolve employee requests involving onboarding, leave and passwords.
During a press briefing, Workday executives demonstrated what they called a shift from “copilot to autopilot.” The recruiting example showed an agent checking open hiring requests, preparing outreach and surfacing candidates without waiting for the recruiter to log in.
The employee then reviews the outreach and chooses whether candidates should advance, using the Sana interface. Interview scheduling runs autonomously after that step.
Workday’s example continues into the interview itself: the agent joins to listen and prepare notes. It also uses recruiter feedback to influence future recommendations. This was a company demonstration of the intended workflow, not a disclosed measure of hiring results.
Work Intelligence is meant to show how AI tools and agents change work and skills. Workday’s premise is that AI rarely changes an entire job at once: individual tasks change, and the skills needed for those tasks change with them.
Workday points to Skills Cloud as the foundation for understanding those shifts. The company says it serves more than 3,450 customers and uses a structured classification of more than 75,000 standardized skills. Work Intelligence is intended to help leaders redesign roles, plan careers and support employees as requirements evolve.
Decision Intelligence instead brings workforce and financial analysis together. Workday says HR and finance teams can use real-time business data in the same space, rather than exchange periodic reports. Its stated uses include examining hiring plans and explaining changes in margins.
In Workday’s example, HR could ask whether a proposed plan to hire 50 people still fits the current workforce. Decision Intelligence would examine workforce composition, existing skills, roles that can be filled and the plan’s costs.
