What to look forward to

An upcoming online panel will explore who builds AI, who it serves, and how race and power challenge the myth of neutral technology.

Inside the event

The Citizens Film Club presents *GHOST IN THE MACHINE* (2026): Post-screening panel discussion and Q&A.

GHOST IN THE MACHINE is a gripping and urgently relevant investigative documentary that exposes the buried history of artificial intelligence: one rooted not in neutral algorithms but in racism, misogyny, eugenics, and entrenched systems of power that shaped the technology long before it entered our daily lives.

**The Citizens Film Club**

The Citizens is a journalism and campaigning nonprofit dedicated to building citizen power to hold Big Tech and governments to account.

There are fewer places to gather, watch and talk about the things that matter, and streaming platforms are built for engagement, not to show you what’s culturally important.

We've collaborated with Doc Society to screen the documentaries about Big Tech, democracy and power that the algorithms won’t put in front of you: in cinemas, community spaces and online.

Power is hardest to challenge when we can’t see how it works. So let’s see it together, then work out what we do about it.
