Bolt.new Buys Dokai to Bring Enterprise Agent Technology Into Its App Builder
The acquired team will join Bolt.new’s AI organization. Initial enterprise capabilities are expected in late fall, with improvements to longer-running builds and business-system connections still ahead.
Bolt.new is acquiring Dokai, its first acquisition, to bring enterprise workflow orchestration into its app-building platform. The technology is intended to help agents manage longer, multi-step builds and make customer-built apps work with existing CRM platforms and internal data. Bolt.new expects the first enterprise capabilities using Dokai technology in late fall 2026; they are planned, not yet released, and the deal’s financial terms were not disclosed.

Dokai’s sales workflows included prospect research, account prioritization, account tiering, data enrichment, and CRM operations across enterprise systems.

Dokai co-founder Gerry Fernando Patia and the team are joining Bolt.new’s AI and machine learning organization.

Bolt.new says about half of its enterprise customers start building before signing contracts, and the average customer deploys a first app within 34 days.
Bolt.new’s application-building agents are set to gain technology designed to carry out multi-step work inside business software. The StackBlitz platform announced on September 29, 2026, that it has acquired Dokai, a San Francisco AI startup. Its first acquisition brings an enterprise-agent team and technology intended to support longer-running builds and connections to existing company systems.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Dokai co-founder Gerry Fernando Patia and the startup’s team are joining Bolt.new’s AI and machine learning organization, which develops the platform’s agents.
The planned integration has two targets. First, Bolt.new wants its own agents to handle more complex application builds that run for longer. Second, it wants the applications customers create to connect better with existing enterprise systems, including customer relationship management, or CRM, platforms and internal data sources.
Bolt.new expects enterprise customers to see the first capabilities built on Dokai technology in late fall 2026. Those improvements remain planned benefits of the acquisition, not results from a newly released integration.
The experience comes from sales workflows
Bolt.new lets users build, run and deploy complete web applications by describing what they want in everyday language. Dokai used a similar approach for a different job: directing sales-related work across business software. According to Bolt.new’s announcement, its agents executed tasks including:
Prospect research and account prioritization.
Account tiering and data enrichment.
CRM operations across enterprise systems.
Behind those tasks is Dokai’s orchestration layer—the software that coordinates an agent’s steps. Bolt.new says it was built to let agents plan and complete multi-step work inside enterprise systems without a person in the loop. That coordination technology is the foundation it intends to reuse.
Patia founded Dokai with Rio Atmadja in San Francisco. Backed by Character Capital and ERA, the startup initially worked on teaching AI to learn enterprise workflows through demonstrations. It later became an AI platform for enterprise sales teams, with workflows spanning multiple applications and data sources.
Bolt.new tied the purchase to its growing enterprise business. According to the company, roughly half of its enterprise customers start building before their contracts are signed, and the average customer deploys a first application within 34 days.
