Story brief
3 key pointsCapitaLand Investment plans a three-year programme to embed AI across investment, asset-management and operating workflows, alongside data investment, reskilling and job redesign. Its selection for Singapore’s Champions of AI initiative places the effort within a national programme, while the company’s footprint—more than 270 cities in over 40 countries—sets a potentially broad deployment scope. The cited results come from existing tools, not the new push: CapitaLand estimates one sales agent cut sales cycle time by 60%, but reports no company-wide investment or productivity gains yet.

Casey handled more than 370,000 chat sessions from March 2024 to July 2026, while Ascott’s ChatGPT-powered Cubby answered over 1 million guest enquiries since its 2023 launch.
- 02
CapitaLand reported more than 5,200 AI training attendances from January to mid-October 2026; that figure does not represent unique employees trained.

The programme includes governed citizen development, reskilling and job redesign, extending beyond simply giving employees access to AI tools.
CapitaLand Investment said on October 28 it would invest in AI, data and workforce transformation over the next three years. The ambition reaches across investment decisions and property operations. Its evidence so far is narrower: established customer chatbots and a company-estimated reduction in sales cycle time, rather than results from the new company-wide push.
The real asset manager was selected as an inaugural participant in Champions of AI, a national initiative run by Enterprise Singapore and Digital Industry Singapore. The programme supports Singapore-based companies seeking to transform their businesses with AI. It was launched at Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology 2026.
A wider role in investment and operations
CapitaLand’s plan covers its investment, asset-management and operating businesses. It wants AI embedded in core workflows to improve investment insights, asset performance, customer experience and productivity.
Chief Digital and Technology Officer Wong Hwee Lim said the investment would address how capital is sourced, deployed and recycled across the company’s global platform. That puts the stated ambition beyond customer-service automation: it also reaches the processes used to bring in capital, put it to work and redeploy it.
The potential rollout is geographically broad. CapitaLand says its global ecosystem spans more than 270 cities in over 40 countries.
Our focus is to sharpen investment insights and strengthen operational execution while retaining human judgement and strong governance.

What the existing tools show
CapitaLand cited three existing deployments to illustrate its starting point.
- Casey, its retail chatbot, handled more than 370,000 chat sessions from March 2024 through July 2026.
- Cubby, The Ascott Limited’s ChatGPT-powered digital concierge, responded to more than 1 million guest enquiries since its launch in 2023, according to the company.
- Its Self-storage AI Sales Agent reduced sales cycle time by an estimated 60%, CapitaLand said.
Training alongside job redesign
The workforce programme includes AI fluency, reskilling and job redesign. CapitaLand also includes governed citizen development—programmes for employees to develop tools under company oversight. Its stated approach therefore combines learning to use AI with changes to work itself, rather than presenting access to software as the whole transformation.
CapitaLand reported more than 5,200 AI training attendances between January and mid-October 2026. Attendances are not a count of unique employees trained, nor a measure of how effectively they now use AI.
