The acquisition expands CGI’s stated capabilities in enterprise AI, platform engineering, and digital product development.
CGI has completed its acquisition of Callibrity, adding approximately 120 consultants and strengthening its Cincinnati metropolitan presence. The transaction closed September 8, 2026. CGI says the purchase expands its capabilities in production-ready enterprise AI, platform engineering and digital product development; financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition combines two different kinds of consulting reach. Callibrity brings a local technology team and established work in financial services, insurance and manufacturing. CGI brings a far wider organization whose services range from IT and business consulting to systems integration, managed IT and business-process services.
A consulting purchase with a broader brief
Founded in 2007, Callibrity is an end-to-end technology consulting firm that brings together developers, strategists and engineers. Its work covers enterprise AI, platform engineering and digital product development. CGI identifies those same areas as the capabilities expanded through the deal.
The stated objective is to help customers move AI work from experimentation into production environments, alongside more modern software platforms and digital products. That is an intended benefit of the combined business, not a reported outcome from the newly completed transaction.
Callibrity contributes approximately 120 consultants to CGI.
CGI reported approximately 94,000 consultants and professionals worldwide.
Continuity alongside wider reach
For existing Callibrity clients, CGI says the arrangement preserves access to the teams and technical specialists already supporting them. At the same time, clients will be able to use CGI’s broader service portfolio and global delivery network. The customer proposition is therefore both continuity in day-to-day relationships and access to a larger set of services.
CGI reported CA$15.91 billion in fiscal 2025 revenue and describes its operating model as local client relationships supported by global delivery. Vijay Srinivasan, president of CGI’s U.S. commercial and state-government operations, said Callibrity adds technical expertise and a consulting mindset. Callibrity CEO Gary Howard said joining CGI would expand what the firm can offer clients and employees while maintaining the relationships and expertise it has built.
