Napster and GEMS Education are preparing a pilot for AI “teacher twins” that could give students approved, teacher-informed help after school, including in multiple languages. The first phase is planned for the GEMS School of Research and Innovation in Dubai, with a working solution targeted for release before the end of 2026. Napster and GEMS Education are partnering to develop and pilot AI agents and digital teacher personas for education. The proposed teacher twins would draw on educators’ own knowledge and materials to offer students approved, teacher-informed help outside school hours.

The companies announced the partnership on September 16. Its first phase will be based at the GEMS School of Research & Innovation, where the GEMS Global Education AI Hub and GEMS Intelligence 360 platform will serve as a setting for educators, students and partners to co-design, test and evaluate the systems.

The planned proof-of-concept work covers digitalized instructors, gamified learning, AI-assisted content creation and classroom simulations.
