Particle’s Radar Indexes 130,000 Podcasts for AI Agents and Hedge Funds

AI agents built around web crawling have a new way to search the conversations they usually miss. Particle has introduced Radar, a podcast intelligence product that transcribes audio, extracts quotes and highlights, and exposes the resulting data through an API and MCP interface for businesses and agents.

The product is pitched less as a consumer podcast finder than as a searchable audio layer for institutional users. Particle says hedge funds are its highest-volume customers directly integrating with the API; AI search platforms and data resellers are also customers. Exa is identified as a Radar partner.

An index built for queries, not just playback

Radar indexes more than 130,000 podcasts and adds about 20,000 episodes each day. Particle says the collection includes Apple’s Top 200 podcasts across 135 categories. Each transcript can carry speaker labels and metadata for people, companies, brands, products and topics, so a search can return a specific passage rather than merely an episode title.

Monitoring turns mentions into a feed

The practical use case is ongoing monitoring. Users can receive customizable alerts for entities and topics through email, Slack or webhooks. Filters can narrow an alert to a guest discussing a topic or limit search to top podcasts, while timestamped clips let a user read and listen to the relevant remark.

What Radar puts into its searchable record

• Transcripts with identified speakers, plus tracked people, companies, brands, products and topics.
• Timestamped clips and extracted quotes or highlights for locating a relevant portion of an episode.
• Listener ratings and reviews, episode advertising data, and a search tool for podcast advertising.

The API is the commercial center

Radar is available through a web interface, but Particle’s API and MCP interface are designed to let agents and other businesses retrieve its podcast intelligence programmatically. That design turns a spoken comment into a possible input for an automated search, alerting or research workflow, rather than a result someone must find by listening through an episode.

Particle lists Radar at $29 per month per seat and a $399-per-month business plan for 20 seats. API access uses customized pricing, putting the service’s most consequential use case outside a published rate card. The company plans to extend Radar beyond podcasts to YouTube videos and news clips, which would broaden the audio sources available through the same system.
